Lignareix ( Linhares in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 164 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants call themselves Lignareixois (es).

geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and therefore also in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park .

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 70 kilometers southwest, Égletons about 30 kilometers southwest and Ussel about 8 kilometers south.

Neighboring municipalities of Lignareix are Saint-Rémy in the north, Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf in the east, Ussel in the south and Saint-Pardoux-le-Vieux in the west.

The Liège , a tributary of the Diège , runs through the municipality.
