Soursac - Town Hall

Soursac ( Sorçac in Occitan - pronounced Chourcha ) is a French municipality with 505 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants call themselves Soursacois (es).

geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central , on the Luzège river , around four kilometers north of the Dordogne - Barrage-de-l'Aigle dam and is surrounded by extensive forests. Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is around 45 kilometers to the west and Égletons around 20 kilometers to the northwest. Neighboring municipalities of Soursac are Saint-Pantaléon-de-Lapleau and Latronche in the north, Sourniac in the east, Chalvignac in the southeast, Rilhac-Xaintrie and Auriac south, Laval-sur-Luzège in the west and Lapleau in the northwest.
