Télévision Côte d'Ivoire

Télévision Côte d'Ivoire (in German  TV Ivory Coast ) or TCI for short is an Ivorian television station that was founded by the current President Alassane Ouattara in January 2011 at the beginning of the government crisis of 2010/2011 as a counterweight to the then state broadcaster Radiodiffusion-Télévision ivoirienne .

It is controlled by the Rassemblement des Républicains party .

history

On the evening of April 11 , shortly after his arrest in the wake of the government crisis in 2010/2011 , in a short televised address in TCI, Laurent Gbagbo called on his supporters to lay down their arms.
