Törkölypálinka

Törkölypálinka is a Hungarian pomace brandy .

Törkölypálinka is one of the oldest Pálinka types, and is made from fermented grape marc produced. Alcoholic beverages may only be designated as pálinka if all fruits used come from Hungary and the product was bottled in Hungary.

The production of Törkölypálinka can be traced back to the 15th century. Production was so popular in the 17th century that it had to be regulated by law. Törkölypálinka is only distilled in February, March and April.
