T.120

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ITU-T standard T.120 consists of a series of communication and application protocols that enable real-time data connections for multimedia conferences. Using T.120-based software, multiple users can participate in conference calls even if they use different types of networks.

Possibilities for T.120 applications are for example "program sharing" (joint use of a program) or that each participant of the conference can write and draw on a given area of an interactive whiteboard .

Multimedia conferencing is an area of application in telecommunications for which ITU-T has laid down a number of technical specifications since 1996. The following standards are important: the T.120 series (T.120 to T.128), T.134 , T.135 , T.136 and H.282 .
