Telephony Service Provider

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Telephony Service Provider ( TSP ) is used in telephone systems to transport TAPI functions over the connected LAN . TSP is used for computer-aided telephony (CTI) . If computers are not connected directly to the telephone via TAPI and a serial cable , an intermediary service must be used. If the PCs are indirectly linked to the telephones via the LAN and the telephone system, the link is established via a TSP. A TAPI driver (remote TSP) is installed on the PC .
