Technical specifications

The mobile phone has a TFT-LCD color display with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels. The physical number of displayable colors is 65,536. Using a trick in which different colors are used for a pixel by changing quickly, up to 260,000 colors can be displayed.

Supported file formats

The file formats JPG, GIF and NVA can be used to display graphics. The first two formats are graphic formats, which are also often used for displaying images on the Internet. The NVA format is a vector graphic format that can be used to generate very small images or animations. It is a modification of the SVG vector graphics format, which enables even smaller file sizes.

MIDI files can be used as ringtones. MP3 files can also be converted to SMAF (Realtone) with the Yamaha converter and loaded onto the mobile phone. The files must not be larger than 50kb.

Connection with the PC

The mobile phone comes with a CD with software for data transfer. A data cable must be purchased separately. The included software can be used to edit the phone book and transfer pictures, videos and ring tones. The transfer of Java applications does not seem to be possible.
