Technical guidelines for preventive fire protection

The Technical Guidelines for Preventive Fire Protection (TRVB) are guidelines in Austria that are used in many areas as the basis for preventive fire protection .

They are drawn up by the Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association and the fire prevention agencies.

Normative effect

The TRVB themselves have no legal force. State laws in Austria that relate to fire protection refer to the TRVB . In Austria, the TRVB de facto bring about harmonization at the federal level.

The guidelines of the TRVB can be changed by means of a notification issued in the course of z. B. the building negotiations for a specific building project is issued as a basis for the construction, operation or maintenance in relation to fire protection in the building by the authority declared as applicable.

The TRVB has so far only been recognized as state of the art in relation to wall hydrant cabinets (TRVB F 128).
