Patrick Joseph Sullivan (politician, 1877)

Patrick Joseph Sullivan (born October 12, 1877 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , †  December 31, 1946 there ) was an American politician .

Sullivan worked in the Homestead Axle Works in Homestead from 1890 to 1900 and then worked in the steel industry in Pittsburgh from 1900 to 1909. During this time Sullivan was a member of the city council from 1906 to 1909. From 1916 to 1923 he was a police magistrate.

Sullivan was elected as a Republican in Congress in 1928 and represented the 34th  constituency of Pennsylvania from March 4, 1929 to March 3, 1933 in the US House of Representatives . In 1936 he was again a police magistrate in Pittsburgh and remained so until his death in 1946. Sullivan was buried in Calvary Cemetery .
