TSV Schwalbe Tündern
The TSV Schwalbe Tündern of 1911 eV is a sports club from Tündern that up in 2007 with a men's team in the table tennis league was represented. The association currently has around 550 members.
The team was in the season 2004/05 with the line-up Chen Hongyu, Dimitrij Ovtcharov , Andrej Bondarev, Michal Bardon, Ruwen Filus , Valentin Bazenov under the manager Erich Bonhagen champion of the 2nd Bundesliga North and rose to the 1st BL. Two years later he had to relegate again, at the end of the 2008/09 season he was relegated from the 2nd BL.
Club name
The association was founded in 1911 under the name “Concordia” in what was then the Zur Schwalbe inn in Tündern. The name was changed to "Schwalbe" in 1930.
