Tabomuizli

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tabomuizli was an attested velvet ruler ( dux ) of the Abodrites around the year 862 .

Tabomuizli was probably a descendant of Goztomuizli , the velvet ruler of the Abodrites. In 862 he was mentioned as "Duke / Prince of the Abodrites" ( dux Obodritorum ) when King Ludwig the German marched against him with an army. Tabomuizli had previously rebelled against him. He was forced to hold hostages as a sign of submission.

Further information about his person has not been passed down.
