Taizang Pagoda
The site of the Taizang Pagoda ( Chinese 台藏塔遗址 , Pinyin Táizàng tǎ yízhǐ , English Taizang Pagoda ) is located in the municipality Sanpu of the district Gaochang , Xinjiang , China. A large Buddhist temple was located there from the 6th to 7th centuries, of which only the ruins of the pagoda remain today. It is a pagoda of the "box-shaped pagoda" type for the storage of Buddhist scriptures (English. Box-shaped pagodas for keeping Buddhist scriptures ).
Since 2001 it has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China in Xinjiang (5-144).
