Down the valley

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Talwärts , original spelling Talwaerts , was a weekly local paper in Wuppertal without advertising that pursued an investigative approach.

The first issue appeared on June 27, 2014 and was initially offered in 15 stores. At times, 200 sales outlets offered the sheet. The project, which got by without advertising income, is now profitable, reported the newspaper makers in September 2014. The weekly editions on Friday consisted of 16 colored pages in A4 format each .

The new establishment with a circulation of 1700 copies (as of September 2014 ) was in competition with the Westdeutsche Zeitung , the most widely read daily newspaper in Wuppertal and the Wuppertaler Rundschau , an advertising paper with an editorial section that appears in two issues per week .

Due to inefficiency , the last edition was published on August 28, 2015.
