character

The Tanguillo is played, sung and danced in Cádiz, especially during Carnival. Accordingly, he has a lively, happy character. A characteristic of many Tanguillos is their polyrhythm : the classic two-part rhythm of tango mixes and overlays with the three-part rhythms of flamenco. Thanks to its rhythmic variety of Tanguillo provides great freedom in the choice of versification and the text design. The most commonly used is the Cuarteta romanceada , a stanza made up of four eight-syllable verses.
