Dance sport club

A dance sport club or dance sport club is a sports club that sets up couples or club teams (e.g. formations ) for dance sport . The constitutes for sports clubs also apply to dance sports clubs: non-profit status and sporting fairness.

The name of a dance sports club usually consists of an abbreviation (e.g. TSC), a relic of the name (e.g. Boston) and the place name or the name of the district in which the club is located.

Dance sports clubs are organized in Germany in the German Dance Sports Association (DTV) and in Austria in the Austrian Dance Sports Association (ÖTSV) and compete in sporting competitions for different age groups (starting groups) and performance areas (starting classes) as well as in leagues and cup series.
