description

Diving assistant

A diving assistant is used as a tool carrier to support professional divers. It is not to be confused with an ROV that is controlled via cable connections from a surface vehicle. The replacement assistant DAVID , built in 1983 by ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Herion, for example, was designed for diving depths of up to 500 meters. The supply was realized via a hydraulic unit installed above the water. The work equipment and drive units were supplied by hydraulics and hydrostats.
