history
The house was built by Christoph Stemler around 1790. In 1824 the property, consisting of the house, barn, yard, stable and garden, was sold to Carl Sattler. His son Michael Düringer inherited the property in 1830 and sold it to Isaac Peter Foucur in 1831. In 1833 Caspar Hensel, Marie Blanc's father, bought the house (address at that time was Kirchgasse 30) for 414 guilders. Since his financial situation was bad after the bankruptcy of a spinning mill operated by his brother-in-law Stemler, he rented the lower floor to Jean Abraham Lebeau. On September 23, 1833 at 6:30 a.m. Marie Hensel was born in the house, who would later marry François Blanc . In 1840, Stemler moved into the upper floor. In 1840 Caspar Hensel married Johanette Margarethe Hartert for the second time. The marriage resulted in 10 children over the next 15 years. The house was correspondingly full.
Marie Blanc inherited the house in 1878. After her death it was sold to Peter Henrizi and his wife Katharina nee Datz for 4,400 marks. In 1805 the son-in-law Victor Lauer received the house. The house is privately owned.
Due to the well-preserved building structure and the historical reference to Marie Blanc, the house is a listed building. After a sale in 2015, the house was renovated. The 135 square meters of living space are divided into four rooms, kitchen and bathroom.
