Tauros

Tauros means "bull" in ancient Greek and has the following meanings:

• the Greek name of the Taurus Mountains
• In ancient times, part of the mountain system was called Amanos (today Nurgebirge )
• Tauros is the name of the philosopher Lukios Kalbenos Tauros (2nd century)
• Tauros is the working name for the aurochs image breeding experiment of the Tauros Program (formerly 'TaurOs Project')
• The name Tauros is also used in Pokémon games, see List of Pokémon
