Te Houtaewa Challenge

The Te Houtaewa Challenge is a marathon and ultramarathon in New Zealand that is run exclusively on a beach.

The sports event, which has been held annually in March since 1993, takes place on Ninety Mile Beach and takes its name from the Māori legend Te Houtaewa.
