Technology clause

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A technology clause is a reference in laws , regulations or contracts that reflect the state of the art in science and technology. They define themselves, among other things, by technical standards and scientific publications.

There are three main levels in the German-speaking area:

  • The recognized rules of technology are the rules that have proven themselves in practice.
  • The state of the art describes technical possibilities at a certain point in time.
  • The state of science and technology is the third and highest level of the performance scale; This describes top technical achievements that are scientifically secured (e.g. for many nuclear law issues; the term state of science and technology occurs e.g. in the Atomic Energy Act 13 times).
