Tecomán FC

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tecomán FC is a former football club from the city of Tecomán in the Mexican state of Colima .

history

By winning the championship of the Tercera División in the 1982/83 season, the Tecomán FC managed to rise to the Segunda División, which was still second at the time . In this league, the club was represented for the next nine years until he was relegated to the third-rate Segunda División 'B' , but managed to get promoted again in the 1992/93 season, making his tenth season in the Segunda Division in 1993/94 completed, which lost its status as the second division with the introduction of the Primera División 'A' in the 1994/95 season .

Due to the poor sources, it is not understandable whether Tecomán FC, which did not get a place in the Primera División 'A', initially continued to play in a lower-class semi-professional league or withdrew (soon or later) from professional football or was completely dissolved. Nor is it known whether the Club Atlético Tecomán, which won the championship of the now only fourth class Tercera División in the Clausura 2004, is a legal successor to the Tecomán FC or whether it is two completely independent clubs.
