Temple Mills Depot in 2007

The Temple Mills is the new maintenance center for the trains of Euro Star International . It has replaced the previous North Pole Depot depot since November 14, 2007 , after the second phase of the High Speed One high-speed line went into operation and the London terminus of the Eurostar trains was relocated from Waterloo station to the renovated St Pancras station.

The depot is located north of the new Stratford International station on the eastern edge of the former Temple Mills marshalling yard and is reached from there via a single-track flyover structure to the east. A tunnel under the Lea Valley Line turns into a separate track that runs east along this route to the depot, so that Network Rail does not have to use any rail infrastructure .

The building is 450 meters long and 64 meters wide and 12 meters high inside. The trains can be serviced on eight tracks.

Immediately north of the hangar is a small hangar that was used by the English, Welsh & Scottish Railway (EWS) as a maintenance hangar for locomotives. Coordinates: 51 ° 33 '36 "  N , 0 ° 1' 22"  W.
