Temple of Speed is a Swiss hip-hop collective from Zurich around rappers Tinguely dä Chnacht and Skor and producers Sterneis.

Band history

2011 joined Tinguely dä Chnächt , Skor and Sterneis in Zurich for dialect rap project Temple of Speed together and published in August of 10 shared songs under the title 10 Tracks - Vol. I . The project stipulates that there should be 10 volumes, with another rapper joining each new album. The participants write and record 10 songs within 10 days. The tracks are only numbered and do not have a title. Each album is available for CHF 10.

For Volume II, the rapper EKR , also from Zurich, was added, who had been successful since mid-2000. At the beginning of 2012, the four of them hit the Swiss charts for the first time with 10 tracks - Vol. II . In Volume III , which appeared four months later, the Bernese Baze, a rapper not from Zurich, expanded the collective. He was also successful since the mid-2000s and this time the album hit the charts again. For the third album in a year, Temple of Speed was expanded to include the Basel rapper Kalmoo. He had released his debut album in 2003. Volume IV was released in December 2012.

Then there was a year off before album number 5 was released. Here they deviated from the previous concept: With Stereo Luchs , a musician from dancehall reggae was added. It was only the year before that he had his first major success. They also recorded 10 bonus tracks in addition to the 10 planned tracks. The album was released on January 10, 2014 and reached number 10 on the Swiss charts. It was the most successful of the series.
