Tennis Europe

Tennis Europe is the European umbrella organization in tennis under the patronage of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). It was founded in 1975 as the European Tennis Association of 17 national tennis associations in Europe. In 2002 the name was changed to the current name. With 50 member associations, Tennis Europe is now the largest continental association of the ITF.

Tennis Europe is based in Basel , Switzerland . The association plays an important role in Europe in the implementation and organization of its own, ITF-independent European youth competitions in the age groups 12 & Under, 14 & Under and 16 & Under. The current President of Tennis Europe is Vladimir Dmitriev, the CEO is Thomas Hammerl. Tennis Europe strategically focuses on competitions, development aid and training.

Tennis Europe supports, organizes and is responsible for the implementation of more than 1000 international tennis events in Europe.

Professional tournaments

The Tennis Europe Pro Division is the ITF's executive body for all ITF Pro Circuits European tournaments . These include the men's ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments with prize money of $ 15,000 to $ 25,000 plus hospitality, as well as the ITF World Tennis Tour women's competitions with prize money of $ 15,000 to $ 100,000 plus hospitality.

Tennis Europe cooperates with the ITF in the implementation of the 16 & Under tournaments, which are rewarded with starting places at the ITF 18 & Under tournaments, and in the implementation of the European Championships 18 & Under. Tennis Europe also cooperates with the ITF in organizing the European Beach Tennis Championships .
