Tens Kapoma is the Permanent Representative of Zambia to the United Nations .

Tens Kapoma is a career diplomat in the Zambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before he was transferred to New York as Permanent Representative to the United Nations in March 2005 , he served as the Zambian Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

His topics in New York are AIDS, debt, globalization, climate change, access to new technologies, energy supply, infrastructure, health care - in short, the entire agenda of disadvantages in one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world.
