The Terra Bus is an all -terrain ( English off-road ) omnibus with three axles and all-wheel drive , which was specially created for use in polar regions .

The Terra Bus was developed and manufactured by the Canadian specialty vehicle manufacturer Foremost Industries LP . The all-wheel drive vehicle (6 × 6) can carry up to 56 passengers. The vehicle is equipped with six oversized low-pressure tires (30 psi / 2000 hPa ). The Terra Bus is used, among other things, in the Antarctic McMurdo Research Station ("'Ivan' the Terra Bus"), but also as a tourist bus called "Snowcoach" in the Canadian Columbia ice field in Banff and Jasper National Park .
