Text technology
Text technology is an interdisciplinary research area on texts as semi-structured data from the point of view of computational linguistics , computer science and philology .
Text technology deals with forms of representation of digital texts and written data, starting with classic word processing via hypertext and World Wide Web techniques, such as HTML and XML , to formal knowledge representation in ontologies .
