Thanatophilia
Thanatophilia (from Greek θάνατος (thanatos) = death, φιλία (philia) = affection) is the fascination with death, the love of dying and impermanence. The term can designate a corresponding psychopathological symptom or an artistic, literary position. It is occasionally synonymous with the similar term necrophilia , but mostly in contrast to an aesthetic perception without sexual paraphilia .
