Malay-le-Grand is a French commune with 1,533 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the Canton of Sens-2 (until 2015: Canton Sens-Sud-Est ). The inhabitants are called Malaysia .

Malay-le-Grand is five kilometers east-southeast of Sens . Malay-le-Grand is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saligny in the north, Malay-le-Petit in the east and northeast, Noé in the east and southeast, Les Bordes in the south and southeast, Véron in the south, Rosoy in the southwest, Maillot in the west and Sens in the north-west.
