Jouy is a French municipality with 524 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . Cornant belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the Canton of Gâtinais en Bourgogne (until 2015: Canton Sens-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Joviciens .

Jouy is about 22 kilometers west-southwest of downtown Sens . Jouy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vaux-sur-Lunain in the north, Chéroy in the north and northeast, Montacher-Villegardin in the east, Bazoches-sur-le-Betz in the south, Bignon-Mirabeau in the southwest, Égreville in the west and Villebéon in the northwest.
