Villebougis is a French municipality with 630 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). Villebougis belongs to the Arrondissement Sens and the canton Gâtinais en Bourgogne (until 2015 Chéroy ). The inhabitants are called Bogiciens .
geography
Villebougis is about nine kilometers west of downtown Sens . Villebougis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brannay in the north and northwest, Saint-Sérotin in the north, Nailly in the east and northeast, Villeroy in the south and southeast, Fouchères in the south and Saint-Valérien in the west and southwest.
