Courtoin is a French municipality with 38 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Burgundy ). Courtoin belongs to the Arrondissement Sens and the canton Gâtinais en Bourgogne (until 2015 Chéroy ).

Courtoin is about fourteen kilometers southwest of downtown Sens . Courtoin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Belliole in the north and north-west, Villeneuve-la-Dondagre in the east and north-east, Égriselles-le-Bocage in the east and south-east, Vernoy in the south and Domats in the west.
