Vaumort is a French commune with 1,166 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the Canton of Brienon-sur-Armançon (until 2015: Canton Sens-Sud-Est ). The inhabitants are called maillotins .

geography

Vaumort is ten kilometers east-southeast of the city center of Sens . Vaumort is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Vallées de la Vanne in the north and west, Cerisiers in the east and south-east, Dixmont in the south, Les Bordes in the south-west and Noé in the west.
