geography
Villenavotte is located about seven kilometers north-northwest of the city center of Sens on the Yonne , which borders the municipality to the east. Villenavotte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villeperrot in the north, Saint-Denis-lès-Sens in the east and south-east, Courtois-sur-Yonne in the south and Nailly in the west and south-west.
