Saligny is a French municipality with 668 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the Canton of Brienon-sur-Armançon (until 2015: Canton Sens-Nord-Est ). The inhabitants are called Salignats .

Saligny is about four kilometers east-northeast of Sens . Saligny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Clément and Soucy in the north and north-west, Voisines in the north-east, Fontaine-la-Gaillarde in the east, Villiers-Louis in the south-east, Malay-le-Petit and Malay-le-Grand in the south and Sens in the south West.
