The Heidenheimer Buck is about 580 m above sea level. NHN high, wooded mountain in the Franconian Alb in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

location
The wooded Heidenheimer Buck rises in the southwest of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district. The mountain is separated from the Rohrach valley (Westliche Rohrach) by the Hahnenkamm ridge in the east . Heidenheim with its district of Ziegelhütte extends east of the mountain . The municipal boundary to Westheim runs to the west . The Rechenberg rises north of the mountain . On the mountain, several tributaries arise from the seven springs ; to the west is the Kohlbrunnen . The Heidenheim Buck is located within the Natural Park Altmühltal in a conservation area .
Natural allocation
The Heidenheimer Buck belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Franconian Keuper-Lias-Land (No. 11), in the main unit foreland of the Southern Franconian Jura (110) and in the subunit Hahnenkamm-Vorland (110.2) to the natural area of the Hahnenkamm-Vorberge (110.21), its terrain in the west drops into the Hahnenkamm-Liasgürtel (110.20).
