The Communauté d'agglomération du Grand Sénonais is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the Yonne department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It was founded on December 31, 2001 and comprises 27 parishes. The administrative headquarters are located in Sens .

Historical development

The community association was originally founded under the name Communauté de communes du Sénonais . With effect from January 1, 2016, eight municipalities of the Communauté de communes du Villeneuvien joined the association, which was simultaneously transferred from the previous legal form of a Communauté de communes to a Communauté d'agglomération and renamed to its current name.
