Maillot is a French commune with 1,166 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the Canton of Sens-2 (until 2015: Canton Sens-Sud-Est ). The inhabitants are called maillotins .

Maillot is three kilometers south-southeast of the city center of Sens an der Vanne . Maillot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sens in the north and west, Malay-le-Grand in the east and Rosoy in the south.
