Soucy is a French commune with 1,589 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the canton of Thorigny-sur-Oreuse (until 2015: Canton Sens-Nord-Est ).

Soucy is about six kilometers north-northeast of Sens . Soucy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-sur-Oreuse in the north and north-west, Thorigny-sur-Oreuse in the north-east, Voisines in the east, Saligny in the south and south-east, Saint-Clément in the south and south-west, Saint-Denis-lès-Sens in the west and southwest as well as Cuy in the west.

The A5 car route runs through the municipality .
