Marsangy is a French municipality with 849 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . Marsangy belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the canton of Villeneuve-sur-Yonne (until 2015: Canton Sens-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Maximiacusiens .

geography

Marsangy is located on the Yonne River and is about ten kilometers south-southeast of Sens . Marsangy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gron in the north, Étigny in the north and northeast, Véron in the northeast, Passy in the east, Villeneuve-sur-Yonne in the southeast, Rousson in the south and southeast, Chaumot in the south and southwest and Égriselles-le-Bocage in the West.
