Sergines is a French village with 1,287 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the canton of Thorigny-sur-Oreuse (until 2015: canton of Sergines ).

Sergines is about 16 kilometers north of Sens . Sergines is surrounded by the neighboring communities Mousseaux-lès-Bray and Montigny-le-Guesdier in the north, Compigny in the north and northeast, Plessis-Saint-Jean in the east, Michery in the south, Serbonnes in the west and south-west, Courlon-sur-Yonne in the West and north-west and Bazoches-lès-Bray in the north-west.
