Précy-sur-Vrin is about 29 kilometers north-north-west of Auxerre . Précy-sur-Vrin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Verlin in the north, Saint-Julien-du-Sault in the north and northeast, La Celle-Saint-Cyr in the east and northeast, Sépeaux-Saint Romain in the south, and Charny Orée de Puisaye in the southwest as well as Cudot to the west.
