Saint-Julien-du-Sault is a French city with a population of 2,348 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the Canton of Joigny . The inhabitants are called Saltusia .

Saint-Julien-du-Sault is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villeneuve-sur-Yonne in the north and north-east, Armeau in the east and north-east, Villevalier in the east and south-east, Cézy in the south and south-east, La Celle-Saint-Cyr in the south, Précy -sur-Vrin in the south-west, Verlin in the west and south-west, and Bussy-le-Repos in the west and north-west.
history
Settlements have been documented for the community since the Iron Age. Archaeological research has shown that there was a Gallic oppidum here, which was abandoned in the 2nd century BC. The medieval schools were replaced with the school of the Order of St. John.
