NGC 4876 is a 14.4 likes bright elliptical galaxy with an active galactic nucleus from Hubble type E5 in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is an estimated 299 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxy is a member of the NGC 4874 - Galaxy Group and the Coma cluster of galaxies . The galaxies NGC 4872 , NGC 4875 , IC 3973 , IC 3998 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered on May 16, 1885 by Guillaume Bigourdan .
