NGC 4871 is a 14.2 likes bright lenticular galaxy of Hubble type S0 in the constellation Coma Berenices and about 301 million light-years from the Milky Way center. It belongs to the Coma galaxy cluster and was discovered by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest on May 10, 1863 .
