NGC 4859 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0-a in the constellation Haar der Berenike . It is estimated to be 321 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 125,000 ly. a. the galaxies NGC 4849 , NGC 4892 , IC 835 , IC 837 .
The object was discovered by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest on April 21, 1865 .
