NGC 4885 is a 14.0 mag bright spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sa in the constellation Virgo . It is estimated to be 144 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered on February 19, 1830 by John Herschel with an 18-inch reflector telescope.
