NGC 4906 is a 14.1 mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type "E3" in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is an estimated 337 million light years away from the Milky Way , about 50,000 ly in diameter, and is a member of the Coma Galaxy Cluster .
The galaxies IC 4030 , IC 4033 , IC 4042 , IC 4044 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered on April 6, 1864 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
