NGC 4928 is a 12.7 likes bright spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation of Virgo , which is about 72 million light-years from the Milky Way's center.
It was discovered on April 25, 1784 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflecting telescope, who described it as "cF, vS, R"; During his observation with an 18-inch reflector telescope, John Herschel noted “vF, R, glbM, 30 arcseconds”.
