NGC 4915 is a 12.1 likes bright elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E2 in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 131 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4890 and NGC 4918 .

The object was discovered on March 11, 1787 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "pB, stellar, resembles a star with a bur all around".
